We have 4 servers in Japan. They support PPTP, L2TP, openVPN and Cisco IPsec connections.
Japan servers are very fast and reliable for people in China. In general they are recommended. However, in the following cases, you should consider using US or UK VPN servers:
- When you want to use on-line services that are only available for US or UK users, like zattoo, bbc, itv, ch4ondemand, Hulu.
- When you connect to Europe-based servers. Japan’s connection to Europe is as slow and unreliable as China. If you connect to a US VPN to visit sites in Europe, it will increase the speed dramatically.
